Hi all,
I'm wanting to learn how to scream, with out it effecting my singing ability... I'm not looking to do like a high pitched whaling type of deal, but something deeper and raspier... Any pointers? Or, does anyone know ware I can get some pointers?

There are a couple of tutorial dvds out there .. The Zen of Screaming and Zen of Screaming 2 are probably the most popular. I never got through the whole Zen of Screaming one but it seem well enough to follow along with just the audio for me. Though be warned this series is also full of ads for the instructor with vocalist from a whose who of metal bands in between the lessons. Think there is another out there called art of screaming but never looked into it. If you know waht you are doing then feel free to consult your good buddy Earl BitTorrent to preview these DVD Titles.
Wouldn't it be wise to look for a vocal coach who specializes in this sort of thing? You don't want to hurt yourself ...
I totally agree with nymphodora. You wouldn't want to follow some dvd's instructions and then end up with a broken voice box. Personally, screaming in music is just totally freaky and disgusting, and people who wants to learn how to do that is crazy, in a good way of course. :P
How is it freaky and disgusting? I do agree you might wanna get a voice coach to help with this.
I believe there are very few of them in this country that focus on that kind of extreme vocals, as this country isn't all that metal by comparison to nations in Europe. I did listen to the Xen of Screaming segments...well, some of them on YouTube, and couldn't follow a damn thing.
